Project brief

The Links forms part of a larger site occupying the former Standish Golf Club in Wigan, which is also now home to The Fairways. This Charles Church site offers a range of 3, 4 and 5-bedroom new homes, with excellent access to countryside walks nearby as well as convenient links to the M6 and wider North West.

Mican is pleased to deliver plastering services to our client’s continued development of The Links, having completed Phase 1 in 2020. With an additional 12 plots released in 2021, the popular site offers spacious accommodation in contemporary and well-planned styles that are a perfect match for modern living.

Mican Plastering’s services

Mican Plastering is delivering internal plastering and dry lining services to The Links. Having completed 35 homes in Phase 1, this further phase creates an additional 12 properties that continue to ensure our client achieves excellent value from the site.

Working alongside our client’s contractors and site teams, and with our own site supervisor managing Mican’s work for complete quality assurance, we are using British Gypsum products at The Links as per our client’s specification. As Mican is an accredited installer of British Gypsum, homebuyers and Charles Church will benefit from Specsure® warranties, giving unmatched reassurance as to the quality installation and finish of our plastering systems.

Project completion

Phase 1 of The Links is completed and plot sales were highly successful. Plot sales for the new Phase 2, 4 and 5-bedroom properties, have been released and reservations have progressed well.

Mican has been on site since Q1 2021, and plots should complete during the second half of the year.
